Throughout our journey we have experienced the highs and lows that come with trying to achieve perfection.

Our quest has resulted in the production of countless numbers of prototypes. Each has been rigorously tested, refined, modified and fine-tuned to the point that after many, many years, we have finally produced the world's finest range of fishing rods.

Our journey began with the end in mind. We wanted to build fishing rods that were incredibly strong, yet ultralight in weight. Rods that would have superior sensitivity, yet enough bottom end power to stop the best specimens the oceans, rivers and streams have to offer.

We wanted to produce more than just a fishing rod. We wanted to produce the ultimate fishing weapon - a finely tuned rod that would give the angler the advantage in the ultimate battle with that trophy fish of a lifetime.

MATERIALS

With this in mind, we first set out to find the very best materials known to man.

Over the years countless blends of carbon graphite and other exotic materials were trialled in the search for the ultimate rod blanks for each fishing discipline.

Rods were built and sent out into some of the harshest fishing environments on the planet for strenuous testing. Sometimes we would find an improvement in our newest models. At other times we found that our latest effort was a step backwards. But we never gave up in our quest. We never accepted second best.

Finally, after many years of testing and trialling, not only different materials, but also a variety of cutting edge manufacturing processes, we eventually achieved our aim. We managed to produce the finest materials for each of the rods in our various ranges. From the ultra-sensitive HVC graphite used in the Zion range, to the incredibly light, yet ultra-powerful Uni Directional Graphite blend featured in our renowned Seriola range of jigging rods, each rod now uses the very best materials for its chosen application.

FITTINGS

The best rod blanks in the world deserve the very best line guides, reel seats, binding and grips.

Throughout our testing process, we trialled numerous brands and models of fittings. Our aim was to find the lightest, strongest, most durable fittings that would complement our blanks perfectly.

After extensive testing, we selected the perfect fittings to complement each model across our range. Precision, top quality binding holds each guide in place. Grips use either the very best AAA premium quality cork, or the highest quality, high density EVA foam depending on the chosen application. Each reel seat has been individually selected to suit the application and rod blank perfectly.
